Our beliefs

We believe firmly that fresh flowers and plants are good for business, but creating a display that’s visually stunning, inspires your staff and instantly puts your customers at ease requires a unique blend of skills and expertise which traditional suppliers often find difficult to provide. That’s why at Rachel Scott Floral Designs we make a commitment to visit all our customers before preparing a design. We start by listening and learning about your business, your customers and your premises. During our free consultation with you we’ll show you how you could use fresh flowers and container plants to create maximum visual effect in a sustainable display which will retain it’s vitality.

To often, poor planning and lack of consultation with you the customer, leads to inappropriate flowers / plant species being used, limited consideration is given to temperature and lighting conditions are ignored. The result is a poor quality display which quickly deteriorates giving a drab, jaded appearance. This often detracts from the positive image of your business, and can be counterproductive to customer confidence.

In contrast, we guarantee all our displays whether they are created from fresh flowers or container plants. Our Maintenance Contracts ensure that if a display starts to look jaded, we’ll replace plants or flowers to ensure that you’ll have a display that always looks vibrant and fresh. Of course, not all our customers want to rent a display some may wish to buy fresh flowers or container plants from us on a sale only basis. Others may also wish to rent or buy seasonal displays for Christmas or special occasions. We are always happy to provide our customers with ‘one off’ designs, which they can then maintain themselves.

Rachel Scott

Rachel Scott is an accomplished floral designer who obtained her formal qualifications at Pershore College of Horticulture. She then went on to study floristry at the prestigious Constance Spry School of Floristry and developed her skills through training with The Jane Packer School of Floristry in London and with Chelsea Gold Medallist Sarah Horne.

Drawing on the knowledge and expertise of a small team of qualified horticulturalists, Rachel is able to advise customers on appropriate container plant species based on pervading conditions and customer preference.

Fresh flowers and plants are good for business

Dr B.C. Wolverton, a leading NASA scientist has recently completed a research project into the positive effects fresh plants and flowers can have on our interior environment. His findings make compelling reading and provide scientific evidence that buildings where fresh flowers and plants are present are healthier to work in and provide positive visual stimulus.

This is because through a process known as photosynthesis, plants are able to absorb a variety of potentially harmful gasses such as Formaldehyde Benzene, which have been linked to so called ‘sick building syndrome’. Dr Wolverton’s research also concluded that the positive visual stimulus that fresh foliage creates helps to relax people and put them at ease. This is important for customers and staff who may be stressed by the pressures of our modern lifestyle.

Christmas Trees

For a limited period, whilst stocks last we are now able to offer our customers premium quality ‘Nordman’ Christmas Trees (which have virtually no needle drop). All our trees are supplied with traditional decoration/lighting and come in our attractive pot of your choice. We are able to supply trees up to 3m tall to shops, offices, pubs and restaurants.

At the end of the festive period, before the twelfth night, we will remove the tree from your premises free of charge and guarantee its eco friendly disposal. Prices start from £120 for 1.5 m (5ft) tree in standard pot inc delivery and installation.

We are also able to offer Christmas Wreaths and bespoke table and room decorations.
